Chesapeake Road Runners were formed in 1984 by a
small group of dedicated people who wanted to give Chaddesden and its
surrounding area a running club of its own.
Membership was slow to start with but gradually
increased and due to the dedication and the very hard work of all its
members the club became very successful.
It caters for all standards of runner from the
novice upwards. Members are Male and Female of varying ages.
Running is mostly on roads but there is some
X-Country, which takes place in the winter months. Indeed Chesapeake RR
is in a Runners league with several other clubs.
Our Headquarters are in Chaddesden Park (the
Pavilion) where we have shower facilities, tea and soft drinks.
There is a small annual fee and nightly fee, which
goes towards paying for those facilities etc
